Integrated Sports Physical Therapy: Recovery Meets Performance

Every professional athlete has a dedicated team working behind the scenes to help them win. You should, too.

Whether your goal is to get back on the field or return to the activities you love, you deserve a team you can trust.

At Pure Performance Training, physical therapy goes beyond one-size-fits-all protocols and generic exercises. We meet you where you are, combining personalized treatments, advanced technology, and expert strength and conditioning to help you perform at your best.

But before we get too far, allow me to introduce myself.

I’m Joe Van Allen.

Meet Joe Van Allen

With over 25 years of experience as a physical therapist, I’ve dedicated my career to helping athletes perform and recover at the highest levels. For 18+ years, I served as the Director of Rehabilitation for the New England Patriots, where I oversaw all rehabilitation and return to play. During my tenure with the Patriots, I was part of nine Super Bowl appearances and six championship wins. My work earned me the Tim Davey Assistant Athletic Trainer of the Year Award and the Ed Block Athletic Training Staff of the Year Award. As the Director of Rehabilitation with Pure Performance Training, I bring the same precision and pro-level care, helping clients and athletes of all ages to move better, recover faster, and achieve their goals.

Redefining Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation today has shifted from personalized care to high-volume, assembly-line practices - prioritizing quick turnover and protocols instead of addressing the root causes of injuries.

We’re redefining that approach. Think of this as a rebranding of rehabilitation—a seamless bridge between injury recovery and peak performance. Our mission is to prepare you to come back stronger, more resilient, and more confident than ever.
The result? A faster return, fewer setbacks, and long-term performance that lasts.

The Power of Integration

Recovery shouldn’t stop at the treatment table. At our facility, we seamlessly integrate treatments with fitness and strength training, offering a holistic solution no matter what stage of your journey you’re currently at. Our team of experts works collaboratively, guiding you from rehab to performance so you don’t just heal—you thrive.

Why it works:

01

Efficiency:

Save time by combining therapy and training in one place.

02

Consistency:

No handoffs between providers; just a smooth transition to your best self.

03

Maximized Results:

Build strength and prevent future injuries while recovering.

Prevention = Performance

Injury prevention is just as important as recovery. We’re not here to put a Band-Aid on the problem—we’re here to identify and solve it. By addressing weaknesses, mobility issues, and poor biomechanics, we help you stay ahead of injuries and on the field where you belong. With tools like mobility assessments, customized strength programs, and sport-specific training, we empower you to perform at your best daily.
