You could have a lean, athletic body, pain-free without having your life revolve around it.
You had more energy to do all the things you want (and have been putting off).
You had a custom plan that works with your body, not against it, and a trusted guide to help you every step of the way.
I’ve coached over 25,000 training sessions
When I first started, I thought my job was to teach people how to exercise and make better food choices.
I didn’t realize how open people would be about their struggles, fears, and challenges–how every health decision was more stressful than it needs to be.
It was like having a little window into their lives.
It’s true: information overload, confusing science, and different opinions makes it very difficult to know who to trust.
But what always strikes me is that despite facing many of the same challenges, some people “make it work,” while others seem to get “stuck.”
Ironically, many of these folks are the ones who think about diet and exercise more than anyone.
I also know what it feels like to lose motivation, be injured, watch yourself fall out-of-shape, and feel overwhelmed.
I’m not pointing fingers.
Here’s something most trainers won’t admit, I know what it’s like to be stuck in a rut, fall out of shape, get injured, and feel like your body is letting you down.
Give me another 5 minutes and I’ll tell you how these struggles led to a breakthrough that allowed me to put the pieces back together.
To build a strong, capable body to do all the stuff I want while still making time for the other things in life.
And how I’ve been able to help other people do the same
Let me back up a bit.
I wasn’t in pain, but I knew I was in trouble.
It was halfway through my third set of deadlifts when I felt the “pop” in my lower back.
I was thirty-nine, balancing family, kids, and the needs of a growing business.
My health had taken a backseat. Low energy levels and motivation to train made workouts sporadic and unfocused.
I cut corners–avoiding “boring stuff” like warmups, mobility, and aerobic training.
My body wasn’t responding the way it used to.
There were the occasional red flags, signals that something wasn’t working.
Something had to change…then it did.
I herniated a disc in my lower back.
It’s like that line from Hemingway about bankruptcy; it happens “gradually and then suddenly.”
Gradually are the achy joints and stiff muscles; the extra beat it takes standing up after sitting in a chair.
Suddenly? When you find yourself hunched over in pain, unable to stand up straight.
I felt weak and broken.
I knew there had to be a better way.
So, I set out to find it.
I immersed myself in the science, reading thousands of pages of scientific literature, traveling around the country attending conferences and courses, learning from the top coaches and therapists in the world.
Brining the is knowledge back, my team and I field-tested various systems and methods on ourselves and our clients.
What did we discover?
Although many different fields–from bodybuilding to exercise science to physical therapy–have shone their flashlights into different parts of this cave, the work is siloed and incomplete.
And this puts us in a rather unusual position.
Nobody has connected the dots to form a cohesive narrative–let alone produce a practical framework to apply it.
Based on what we learned, I completely changed my approach to exercise, and my body responded in ways I couldn’t believe.
I eliminated my back pain, increased my strength, and my energy levels skyrocketed.
The kicker: I was spending less time in the gym than ever before.
We’ve had the same results with people in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who believed their bodies were broken beyond repair.
It’s the program I wish I had–and which would have saved me a lot of time, pain, and frustration–before my injury.
But I also know that alone information isn’t enough. There’ll be questions that need answering, tweaks and adjustments to make, and limiting beliefs that will need to be deconstructed.
That’s why we’ve developed a one-of-a-kind coaching program to guide you every step of the way.
It’s designed for people over forty who…
Want to get in the best shape of their life, overcome pain and reverse injuries while enjoying the process.
Have a vision for their life that isn’t confined by limitations or the effects of age or injury.
Are willing to do the work to heal what’s unhealthy and fix what’s broken.
Believe that no matter the circumstances, something can always be done to improve.
Allow me to introduce…
My sincere hope, if you’ve suffered from dissatisfaction with your body or confusion regarding diet and exercise, is that this will be the last coaching program you’ll ever need.
Built for Life is designed for people over forty who want to build total confidence in their bodies–how it looks and what it’s capable of.
We’ve brought together the best methods from sports science, performance training, and rehabilitation to create a one-of-a-kind, 12-week coaching program.
It’s 100% customizable and based on real science and time-tested principles designed to improve your fitness without leaving you injured.
How do I know it works?
Because I’ve stood in your shoes. And so have hundreds of other people I’ve worked with.
I know what it’s like to feel frustrated and confused; hampered by aches and pains; angry at the bathroom scale.
I want to help you avoid making the same mistakes.
By showing you exactly what to do, how to do it, and when to do it every step of the way.
But before we get into more details…
A few obligatory exceptions I must flag:
If you’re searching for quick fixes–magical pills or juice cleanses–this probably isn’t for you.
If you’re unwilling to “do the work” and prefer making excuses and playing the victim more than growing and evolving, Oooof: good luck with that.
Or, if you’re already 5% body fat and bench press 315lbs, congratulations, you’re in the top 1% of human performers, this isn’t your jam.
However, if you’re in the other 99% of the world who are stressed about being out of shape, want to take control of your health and fitness, and are comfortable investing some time and money doing that…
In this program, you will discover:
Personalized answers to all your questions about training and nutrition–including ones you didn’t know to ask yet.
How our three-phase approach keeps you in the adaptive “sweet spot” while avoiding injury and overtraining.
How our built-in system of accountability cultivates the type of girder-lifting strength you’d expect, as well as a deep inner strength you might not.
The program happens is three phases. Each with a distinct focus and scientific design.
PHASE ONE: ALIGNMENT
“A thousand-mile journey begins with a single step.” – Sun Tzu
This is ground zero for your body transformation to begin. We’ll establish workout and lifestyle habits to build the foundation for everything to come.
– The five most significant fat loss and muscle-building mistakes that keep people weak and frustrated (you’re probably making some right now).
– Six simple mobility tests we use to avoid the most common sources of training injuries.
– A no-BS flexible dieting plan that will transform your body composition without making you feel like you’re “on a diet.”
PHASE TWO: ADAPTATION
“To begin is easy, to persist is an art.” – German proverb
Here you’ll accumulate training volume and intensity as you start to look, feel, and perform at higher levels.
– How to tweak and adjust your training to guarantee continuous progress while avoiding overtraining.
– The best methods to burn more fat, improve athleticism, and save you from becoming a bored treadmill zombie.
– The secret muscle activation and breathing techniques that unlock stiff joints and ease tight muscles without needing to stretch constantly.
PHASE THREE: EVOLUTION
“I am building a fire, and every day I train, I add more fuel. At just the right moment, I light the match.” – Mia Hamm
Phase Three combines all program elements to “lock-in” strength and body composition improvements.
– Straightforward ways to keep the momentum going and overcome obstacles that have derailed you in the past.
– The missing component in almost every training program for people over 40 that can help you maintain activities you love for life.
– Finally, we’ll show you how to carry your new habits into the future and make them the new normal.
What if I told you…
All you need to build strong, capable muscles, shed the spare tire around your waist, and resolve chronic pain is inside of you right now.
You don’t need perfect genetics or endless amounts of time to let it out. You just need the right set of keys and a guide with expertise to show you how.
And in just 12-weeks from now you could wake up excited about the reflection you see in the mirror, feeling stronger, more confident, and less stressed about your body than you did 20-years ago.
Well, you can.
This might sound like pie-in-the-sky, especially if you’ve tried to get back in shape in the past just to end up injured or frustrated by lackluster results.
It’s not your fault. One of the hardest parts about changing your body is finding information you can trust.
Most influencers and fit-gurus you see on social media don’t know their bicep femoris from their bicep brachialis–one’s in your arm, the other in your leg.
I want to show you we’re not just blowing smoke, this isn’t just “another one of those...”
Stop wasting your time chasing random tactics
Built for Life is based on scientific principles and battle-tested strategies that work, plain and simple.
Surface-level advice, cook-cutter workouts, and platitudes have been failing people for decades.
That’s why we’ll do the real work, going deep to uncover the problems behind your problems that are holding you back.
Where do you need the most help, right now?
What are you already good at that we can build on?
I’m not trying to add more to your plate.
Instead, I want to lighten your load by showing you how to prioritize the things that matter.
Built for Life is designed to build real-world skills to simplify your decisions about what to eat and how to exercise.
To give you the confidence to truly change the way you look and feel, so you can stop stressing and get on with the rest of your life.

If you’ve come to all the sessions and don’t feel that your expectations were blown away for any reason, I insist you get back 100% of your money back.
Our reputation is everything, and we have zero interest in selling anything you don’t feel is worth multiple times its value.
The program begins the week of May 2nd and availability is limited. Once the program is full, we won’t be taking on another cohort until September.
A Final Dose of Reality
If you look at our culture over time, you’ll see very few people are living the exact lives they want. Even fewer have advanced as far as they can physically.
Despite our best intentions we’re weaker, fatter, and more unhappy than ever.
Which wouldn’t be such a big deal if your health weren’t the foundation for every other part of your life.
So, let me ask you a question…
How much longer are you willing to allow yourself to stay where you are?
This isn’t meant to be discouraging.
But it is meant to be a reality check–a warning shot from a cannon.
Stumbling around in the dark, groping for shortcuts, hopelessly unaware of your own predicament is discouraging.
However bad your situation is at the moment, taking a stand on what matters most to you is encouraging.
Facing the future with clear eyes and an open mind is empowering.
Blazing a new path–your path–is exhilarating.
If that sounds like an adventure you’d like to go on–a game worth playing–then help is at hand.
I know starting something new is scary. I’ve been there, too.
Nobody wants to make a mistake or look foolish.
The voice in your head tells you acting is too risky or that trying would be a waste of time.
You hesitate, and the moment passes you by and agonize over it later.
At this point, you have two choices.
You can forget everything you just read and can continue down the same old paths.
You can disregard my promise of providing you with a new plan specifically intended to do one thing: lead you step-by-step to becoming the best version of yourself.
Or you can move forward with a complete understanding that what is being offered isn’t just a blueprint for getting into the greatest shape of your life–it’s a real-world guide to an unreal life.
