The “Secret” to Building a Confident and Successful Youth Athlete

We all want what’s best for our kids—to give them the tools they need to reach their full potential.

I get a lot of questions from parents and coaches about training youth athletes…

“When should my athlete start lifting?’

“Are squats safe?”

“How often should they be training?”

And the list goes on.

The truth is that athletic development is a dynamic process, influenced by multiple interconnected factors.

The challenge is knowing where the various pieces of the puzzle fit together to form a complete picture.

Unfortunately, the pressure of early specialization and year-round competition has led to an uneven focus on technical skills, while the engine that drives long-term development is neglected.

The result: dramatic spikes in injury rates and declining athleticism.

That’s because…

You can only build as high as your foundation is deep.

The good news?

In the last 25 years, we’ve made massive advancements in understanding the stages of youth athletic development.

We know there are “windows of opportunity” in early adolescence where exposure to the right types of training can trigger changes in strength, speed, and neuromuscular coordination that last a lifetime.

If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you want to build strength and speed in the gym and develop specific movement skills that will help you…

These are all skills that can be learned and improved upon.

All you’re missing is a way to connect the dots.

My team and I have been testing, tweaking, and experimenting with various approaches to developing strong, versatile, injury-resistant athletes for over twenty years.

Because we both know…

It carries them through challenges in sports, school, and life.

We’ve distilled everything we know into a simple, effective, age-appropriate program that’s been battle-tested thousands of times

Confidence is the Key.

It carries them through challenges in sports, school, and life.

We’ve distilled everything we know into a simple, effective, age-appropriate program that’s been battle-tested thousands of times.

Middle School Strength

A scientific approach to building the foundations for athletic performance.

Our step-by-step system combines cutting-edge technology and the latest training techniques to empower you with everything you need to build fluid, dynamic movement and improve speed, strength, and explosiveness.

We believe a training program should be built around you, not the other way around. Your journey begins with our signature movement screen and athletic testing battery, designed to uncover restrictions or asymmetries and identify areas of strength and weakness.

Stop wasting your time with random tactics. Most training programs fail because they don’t meet you where you are. Our programs take a holistic approach to athlete development based on your age, structure, movement strategies, and current abilities.

Rocky had Mickey. Luke had Obei-Wan. Daniel had Mr. Miyagi. There are few things in sports or life more powerful than having a coach in your corner—someone you can trust to answer questions, make tweaks and adjustments, and keep you motivated and accountable.

Modern technologies like force plates, laser timers, and velocity-based training devices are like having a GPS for your body. Not only do they allow us to quantify improvements, but they also provide objective feedback every workout to ensure we never get off track.
