Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Quinnipiac University and a Master’s Degree in Strength and Conditioning from Springfield College, where he was also the Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Varsity Baseball and Women’s Volleyball teams. Sam was responsible for developing in- and off-season strength and conditioning programs and oversaw the rehabilitation of all injured athletes.
A skilled Strength Coach and Athletic Trainer, Sam works primarily with baseball athletes but also specializes in working with clients and athletes rehabilitating from injury. During his time on staff, Sam has developed a successful off-season Baseball Strength & Conditioning program with several local baseball teams. Each athlete is personally assessed and given an individualized program based upon their abilities, goals, and limitations.
Sam is also a regular contributor to the Pure Performance Training blog (http://www.pureperformancetraining.com/blog). His content areas include anatomy and special considerations of the throwing shoulder, strength and performance relative to baseball athletes, and professional development.
Sam has eagerly pursued his passion for coaching athletes and clients of various levels and gained experience working along some of the best coaches and therapists in the country including Eric Cressey of Cressey Performance and Stan Skolfield of OA Centers for Orthopaedics Performance Center.
